FRANKLIN NORTH CAROLINA (Southwestern corner): URGENT FOSTER OR ADOPTION NEEDED

Rex is a very friendly and handsome young (neutered) male Anatolian Shepherd Dog.
He was found as a stray by an elderly couple. They thought they would keep him but decided he was too big and too much for them to handle.
Not wanting him to go to a shelter or starve on his own, they took him to the vet to be euthanized.

The vet could not bring himself to put down this young, healthy, friendly dog so he neutered and vetted him and found a temporary foster for him.
Rex is now looking for either a foster where he can stay until he is adopted or, better yet, a "forever" adoptive home.

Rex is friendly with people and kids; he is good with other dogs and cats. He walks on lead, knows basic commands but responds to them in true Anatolian fashion (at his own pace and discretion). =)

Rex is neutered, current on shots, heartworm negative and on preventative. He weighs over 100 pounds and stands appx 32" at the shoulder.

We will help with transport within appx 1000 miles.
